Library
The Cover is not the book
To support our children’s love of books we have seen dramatic changes in the library and book banding system over the past year. We have invested in a new look library and it is now twice the size and has dedicated KS1 and KS2 spaces with under-the-sea inspired decoration. We now have the space to include many more books which will continue to stimulate and challenge our young readers and is home to magazines, fiction and non-fiction galore. It is a space to share books, read quietly and take part in lunch time clubs dedicated to reading. With the removal of book banding for our older children, the new shelves are filled with texts that they can take away and enjoy at their leisure. Visiting authors also get a space on the shelves so that children can delve into new authors as well as old favourites during their time at Sketchley Hill.
