Headteacher's Welcome

Our school is a welcoming primary school where Striving Happy Pupils Succeed!

At Sketchley, we have a Curiosity Curriculum to improve the enquiry, research and investigative skills of our children in their learning – to encourage our children to be excited about their learning! Each half term there is a new Curiosity Curriculum theme designed around a question that rapidly engages our children, parents and carers.

Over the year, FS children will investigate ‘What does a T-Rex eat?’, Year 1 will consider ‘Would you rather be invisible or fly?’, Year 2 will think about ‘Do humans have wings?’, Year 3 will ponder ‘Is graffiti art or vandalism?’, Year 4 will reflect on ‘Why does my bottom burp?’, Year 5 will contemplate ‘Why are we a blue planet?’ and Year 6 will cogitate on ‘What was it like to be a soldier in World War 1?’

Lots of information about our Curiosity Curriculum across the year groups and our school can be found on this website as well as a link to Twitter that shows all the amazing things that Sketchley children get up to.

If you would like to find out more, please give the school office a ring on 01455 238640 to arrange a tour and see the school in action!
