I worked at Sketchley Hill Primary School for 23 years in a variety of roles, both as classroom support and administration officer, prior to my retirement from the role of School Business Manager at the end of August 2015. I worked for over 5 years as Clerk to the Governing Body and also as secretarial support to the various sub-committees for nearly 10 years.
I believe that this has given me an extensive knowledge of the working of a school, its management, responsibilities and statutory duties. I have a comprehensive overview of matters relating to Finance, Personnel, Premises and School Improvement which I hope will enable me to serve effectively as a Governor.
I also have three children, all of whom attended Sketchley Hill as pupils, and will shortly become a grandmother. I have a passionate interest in children’s education and hope that I will now be able to give something back to the School I have loved for so many years.
